Journey to musicality

I have been writing poetry for years, but they have always been mute; I can't translate them into tunes in my head, and probably don't really need to.

Songwriting is deliciously different.

To me, writing lyrics for songs = making poetry social and bringing it to life.

It's less about self expression for its own sake, and more about communicating and connecting.

I love the idea of creating a song someone can enjoy, sing along to, and imbue with their own meaning.

I would love inspire people to dance, sing, laugh, and perhaps ponder over the lyrics and be inspired by them.

The privilege to work with talented musicians, whatever their creative quest, is extremely rewarding because together we materialise something that would not have manifested otherwise.

The experience of creating something I could not have done so alone feels beautiful and delightful, and very nurturing to the creative soul.

As far as creative partnerships go, this is one of my favourites, and the fruits of our labour are easy to share :)

Songs will be posted here when they are ready. The process is long, but absolutely worth it.
